It's nice

I recently discovered the mud by googling "This is most stufly" which is an expression from the GateWay MUD help files. To my surprise I found it on the T2T Web Site! The two muds share almost the exact same software. At that I simply had to try it out, especially seeing as I am a huge Tolkien fan. There is a nice newbie tutorial (although as I mentioned I know this type like the back of my hand) which introduced me to some of its unique features. Actually being an LP mud it is possible for it to diverge quite a bit and it has. Nonetheless I found the mud to be a strong challenge even for a 18 year mudding veteran. Gold is essential for advancement and is not easy to gather until you've explored enough to learn some good gathering spots. There are many small quests all over the place. The ones I've done so far are simple but enjoyable. I was also impressed that all of Middle Earth has been created. Much of the area is a simple "grid" with generic rooms but it is still something to see.

The Two Towers is a great

The Two Towers is a great game. It's kept my interest since 1995 and I keep coming back for more!

Favorite MUD

I'm quite fond of this game; it's the only mud I play, and it's compelling enough to have kept me around for something like eight years. The playerbase has many older characters such as myself, but there's a staff of newbiehelpers to ease newcomers into the game gracefully. If you like Tolkien, check it out.
