MUD Screen Editor

Xangis, the administrator of FindMUD, has created a freeware ANSI screen editor called the "MUD Screen Editor".

MUD Screen Editor natively uses an XML file format that is specifically tailored for Basternae MUD (http://www.basternae.org). However, it can export and import individual files and is handy as a simple WYSIWYG ANSI text editor.

File->Import and File->Export can be used to load and save to/from any text file. The extra settings -- screen type, title, and active -- are not used when importing/exporting a screen. Those settings are specific to Basternae screens.

You can also select and copy text in the visualization window and paste it into rich-text applications such as Microsoft Word.

In its current (first) incarnation, the Mud Screen Editor only supports foreground text colors. Background text color editing may be added in a later release if there is any demand for it.

Here's a screenshot:

The MUD screen editor is currently only runs on Windows XP/Vista and requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 in order to run.
